Producing Wills 'requires care and attention'
People looking to write Wills as part of their future financial planning should be aware of the need for thorough and unambiguous detail.

This is the advice provided by Kevin Dickens, president of the lawyers and accountants association theUK200Group, who told Accountancy Age that a failure to do so can leave families at risk of legal problems.

The publication highlighted the fact that many of those producing Wills are often forgetting key details, such as children from previous relationships, which can jeopardise the document's legitimacy.

Mr Dickens therefore stated that greater diligence is required if consumers are to achieve their objectives with Wills, such as avoiding inheritance tax issues.

He said that producing a well-written Will involves "careful thought" and "perfect record-keeping".

Last month, Unbiased.co.uk published research which revealed that the majority of Britons who are currently without a Will have simply not gotten around to making one yet.ADNFCR-2347-ID-19468426-ADNFCR
