Residential conveyancing solicitors 'play a vital role'
People thinking of buying or selling a home have been urged to use a proper residential conveyancing solicitor to facilitate the process.

The Small Business News blog points out that property-related matters can be complicated and lengthy, so it will make it much easier on all parties if a legal expert is involved right from the outset.

"Conveyancing is a fundamental process in the selling of your house and it is necessary that it should be conducted by a qualified and experienced lawyer," the blog advises.

It added that obtaining title deeds and dealing with the Land Registry would be difficult for the public, as well as being the most time-consuming part of the process, but a conveyancing solicitor will be able to organise this efficiently.

Price comparison website moneysupermarket.com also recently urged buyers and sellers to use a solicitor for expert advice on conveyancing, calling the procedure "notoriously cumbersome".
