Crash victim wins five-figure compensation settlement |
A pensioner who was injured in a car accident when she was hit by a driver travelling on the wrong side of the road has won a five-figure compensation settlement.
Ann Roberts broke a number of bones in the incident, leading her to launch a personal injury claim.
Ms Roberts told the Worcester News she owes her life to the staff at the Midlands Air Ambulance Service, who transported her to Selly Oak Hospital's Intensive Care Unit, where she was treated on the same ward as soldiers who had returned from Afghanistan with injuries.
"I am, of course, extremely grateful for the settlement for damages," she said
"No amount of money will ever give me back the normal life that I had prior to the accident."
Dorothy Kasprus, the mother of student Anita Konkel, recently launched a claim for compensation after a car accident left her daughter with brain damage and in need of constant care, reported the Tottenham Journal.
If you've suffered an injury as the result of an accident, the personal injury team at KCJ will be happy to advise you on whether you have a claim.
