Personal injury compensation awarded to taxi fall victim
Personal injury compensation has been awarded to a man who fell from a moving taxi and sustained brain damage.

Grant Parfitt, now 24, was on his way home from a night out when the accident occurred just before Christmas in 2005, the Bristol Evening Post reports.

The brain damage he sustained as a result of falling from the vehicle was so severe that he had to learn to walk again and means he is now reliant on the care of family members.

Mr Parfitt is unable to work or pursue his previous hobbies, which included going to the gym regularly.

To cover some of his long-term care costs, the victim's family took legal action against the insurer of taxi driver Yasir Al-Kauraishi.

This week, an out-of-court personal injury compensation settlement that is believed to be substantial was approved at London's High Court, meaning that Mr Parfitt will be able to benefit from specialised care for the rest of his life.

Claiming compensation can be complicated, but the solicitors at KCJ will be able to to help anyone who thinks they have a claim to get through the process quickly and smoothly, as a number of our lawyers are accredited members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
