Personal injury compensation agreed for man hurt at work
A man who suffered lasting problems from a head injury he sustained at work has now been granted compensation.

David Prince, 58, was a reception assistant at Yorkshire's Rampton Secure Hospital and had been inspecting a lorry owned by EH Lee as part of his duties.

As he checked the back of the vehicle, the driver who had been holding back the side curtain accidentally let go, causing it to snap back into position.

However, as it retuned, the iron bar used to keep it in place hit Mr Prince over the head.

Over the next two years, he began to suffer from severe headaches, mood swings, an inability to concentrate and a change in his personality.

Although his employer attempted to find a new position for him, he was forced to retire and is now reliant on his wife for even everyday tasks.

Mr Prince took legal action with the help of his family and personal injury solicitors and has now been granted £210,000 in compensation after EH Lee admitted liability.

"Getting the compensation has made a great difference, as it's taken away a lot of worries about the future," he remarked.
