Hospital deaths rise at the weekend |

Sharon Allison, a clinical negligence lawyer at Kester Cunningham, comments: "The lack of Registrar/Consultant presence in hospitals at the weekend has been a longstanding problem. We have seen many cases where junior doctors have, through a lack of expertise, made unsafe decisions and compromised patient safety in the absence of a more senior colleague".
