British tourists make compensation claim after coach crash
A group of 24 British tourists, including a man from Cambridgeshire, are to make compensation claims after a court ruled that their tour operator was at fault for the injuries they suffered in a coach crash.

Birmingham Crown Court found in favour of the tourists after deeming that driver error had caused the incident which saw the travellers' coach tumble down banking and overturn.

Among the plaintiffs was St Neots resident Anthony Wilkinson, who told the Hunts Post that the incident had ruined his holiday in addition to leaving him with a personal injury.

Having won their five-year legal battle against package holiday provider Crystal/TUI UK Limited, the tourists are now set to make compensation claims worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Mr Wilkinson said: "I'm pleased with the result and feel that justice has finally been done."

In October, the Essex Echo reported that 42 holidaymakers were able to successfully claim for compensation from their provider after suffering from chemical burns in a hotel swimming pool.ADNFCR-2347-ID-19473078-ADNFCR
