Our client worked at the delicatessen counter at his local supermarket. He suffered severe lacerations to the middle and ring fingers of his hand whilst cleaning a work surface near the meat slicer.
Our client worked at the delicatessen counter at his local supermarket. He suffered severe lacerations to the middle and ring fingers of his hand whilst cleaning a work surface near the meat slicer. The machine had been left on by a colleague whilst attending to a customer. It made very little noise when switched on and our client's hand came into contact with the blade. Our client is a Grade 8 piano player and was worried that he would not return to playing. Fortunately he has made a good recovery. In total he received damages of |
