Picture perfect: KCJ supports Bury Theatre Royal |

After three years the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds has been able to decorate the restored Georgian playhouse with photos of its best-loved plays.
The newly framed pictures come thanks to a generous grant from Kester Cunningham John solicitors who sponsored the project to print and frame pictures of the Theatre's own in-house produced shows.

Ron Clare, a commercial property partner in the Bury St Edmunds office of Kester Cunningham John, explains: "Our Bury St Edmunds office continues to grow and we are delighted that this can be reflected in showing our support for the Theatre, which is clearly at the cultural heart of the local community. We are excited by the picture framing project. The images will give new or infrequent theatre goers a better understanding of the wide range of productions put on by the theatre and hopefully stimulate further interest, while reminding regular audiences of performances they have enjoyed in the past. We look forward to entertaining increasing numbers of clients and professional contacts here in the future."
Theatre Royal Artistic Director, Colin Blumenau comments: "Ever since the restoration we have looked forward to putting up images of some of our best in-house productions. It's fantastic to show the variety of work we have done over the years, which has been everything from Shakespeare to contemporary theatre, Georgian revivals to operas and even children's shows. The first batch of images has gone up in the dress circle and they look lovely. On behalf of everyone at the Theatre I would like to thank Kester Cunningham John for their support, without which we could have never made this possible."
The Partners of Kester Cunningham John celebrated with Theatre staff at a viewing of the new pictures on the first of February, and a second batch of framed photos is scheduled to go up in the upper circle later in the year.
