Ashton KCJ has been awarded the OPP* Award for Excellence 2011 (Best Lawyer category). We were also shortlisted in the Best Marketing Campaign category, where we came second.

This award is in recognition of our French Legal Services (FLS) department, which despite being launched in the middle of a recession in May 2009, has gone from strength to strength. Ashton KCJ is now one of only a dozen legal firms in the UK specialising in French legal services.

A strong marketing campaign to launch the service meant that by the end of 2009, we had introduced £210,000 of new business to the firm. Our online campaign has helped to secure a strong market share for those looking for French legal service providers via the web.

The team - which is headed up by Matthew Cameron, with Vincent Morand (Diplôme Supérieur de Notariat) and Sarah Walker (Solicitor) - has introduced a steady stream of new clients to the firm over the past two years, representing clients not only across the UK but worldwide, including Dubai, USA and Australia. They are also regular commentators on French legal issues in the national media.

Matthew Cameron, Head of FLS, attended the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 13 October, which took place at The Property Investor Show and OPPLive 2011 at the ExCel Centre in London’s Docklands.

He said: “Speaking on behalf of the whole FLS team, I was absolutely delighted that we have received such recognition for our work. The team at Ashton KCJ is still very young, but this award demonstrates that we have successfully become a leader in our field.”
