Will John Cleese sign a pre-nup if he marries again?

A pre-nuptial agreement could be a wise move for John Cleese if, as reports suggest, he is to marry for the fourth time.

The comedian, 71, was photographed by the press at the weekend shopping with partner Jennifer Wade at a Dolce & Gabbana store. Sources said they purchased what looked to be a wedding dress and white shoes and then left.

Meanwhile, Cleese also recently told the Sunday Telegraph he likes the idea of marrying again.

"I think it's a lovely idea to spend a lot of time with someone," he added.

However, this may surprise those close to the TV star, who was forced to pay his third wife Alyce Faye Eichelberger £12 million in cash and assets following their divorce in 2009.

She will also receive £600,000 a year for seven years, leading Cleese to say at the time that he must continue working well into his 70s in order to "feed the beast".

Cleese may therefore consider a pre-nuptial agreement with 39-year-old Ms Wade if they do decide to marry in order to protect his earnings.
