Acrimonious divorce cases 'could damage children badly' |
Couples who separate in an acrimonious divorce could risk seriously damaging their children's wellbeing, a top judge has said.
Lord Justice Wall stated that splitting up can cause people to behave unreasonably and make them forget that a separation has a huge impact upon their offspring, the Daily Mail reports.
"There is nothing worse for most children than for their parents to denigrate each other," he warned.
Saying he has seen some cases in which youngsters become "both the battlefield and the ammunition", he urged parents to consider their divorce from all aspects and try to reduce the adversarial conduct as much as possible.
Anyone considering a divorce or separation could think about seeking legal advice from expert family law solicitors at Kester Cunningham John.
This will ensure both parties receive practical advice and guidance on how best to go through the separation process and whether collaborative law is the right way forward.
