Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie 'signed a pre-nuptial agreement'

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie signed a pre-nuptial agreement prior to their wedding in California earlier this month.

According to the New York Post, the pair made sure to legally protect their assets before they got married on Saturday (August 14th 2010) in Santa Barbara.

"It was a totally amicable agreement. They love each other very much and knew this was just a technicality," an unnamed source commented.

While Duff made her fortune in the Lizzie McGuire series for Disney, Comrie is also the heir to a vast estate in Canada, as well as having his own money from his career as an ice hockey player.

It was recently reported by the Sun that Robbie Williams and Ayda Field had also signed a pre-nup before they married in the US at the beginning of August.

The exact details regarding maximum payouts in case of divorce have not been revealed in either case.
