Frasier star to divorce wife after 13 years of marriage

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer and his wife Camille are to divorce after just under 13 years of marriage, it has been confirmed.

Papers filed in Los Angeles have cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the split, although no further legal details have been revealed.

The couple were married in August 1997 and have two children aged eight and five, who were born to surrogate parents.

Writing on his blog this week, Grammer said he and his wife had been discussing the possibility of a separation "for some time".

"Let me say that Camille and I shared many wonderful things throughout our years together; there were just a few things that we couldn't work out," he added.

Grammer also denied rumours that he has been dating a blonde woman, pointing out that it was his 26-year-old daughter who he had been spotted in a restaurant with by paparazzi.

Last month, it was revealed that Sandra Bullock's divorce from Jesse James had been finalised, just two months after she filed the papers due to his reported infidelities.
