Sandra Bullock reveals divorce plans
Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock has revealed plans to divorce her husband Jesse James after he became involved in extramarital affairs.

The Speed actress officially filed for divorce in Texas, citing a "conflict of personalities" for the separation.

In papers released for public viewing, it was stated that Bullock does not plan to take custody of James' three children and will be adopting Louis, her new baby son, as a single parent.

The couple will also enter into an agreement regarding the division of their joint assets.

Bullock lodged the divorce paperwork on April 23rd 2010 after five women came forward to reveal that they had had affairs with her husband.

It is not known whether the couple drew up a pre-nuptial agreement before they got married, but James will not be entitled to a payout from Bullock's estate under Texas law.

In March, Christina Tait of advisory website DivorceAid.co.uk told the Express that seeking the advice of a specialist divorce lawyer could help couples to avoid the financial pitfalls that could otherwise occur during a separation.
