PwC taken to employment law tribunal over 'unfair dismissal'
A former employee of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is seeking compensation for unfair dismissal over his recent redundancy.

Colin Tenner claims he had asked his management for assistance when he developed stress and anxiety as a result of the attitude of some of his clients, the Times reports.

However, the former partner alleges that nothing was done to prevent the "bullying" behaviour and that his mental health worsened as a result.

When he was made redundant in February 2009, he decided to take PwC to an employment tribunal, accusing the firm of unfair dismissal relating to his disabilities.

He is seeking compensation to cover 15 years of future lost earnings, as well as for the redundancy itself.

PwC has denied the allegations and said it intends to contest them.

A recent poll by WorkStress.net found that 415,000 people in the UK feel the stress levels they experience in the workplace are making them ill.
