Scottish Coupar Angus factory workers face redundancy
Many workers at a factory in Scotland may wish to consult a specialist regarding employment law.

This is because 115 staff members at the Coupar Angus Poultry plant in Perthshire are facing redundancy, the Scotland Courier reports.

The site is currently one of the area's biggest employers, but rising costs mean it is being forced to reduce its numbers.

Owner Vion Food Group has also admitted the plant is operating at a loss.

Perthshire North MSP John Swinney said this is likely to be a "worrying" time for those employed at the factory.

Operations director of Vion's poultry business unit Andrew Fisher added: "I will be pressing the company to continue its recent investment activity in the plant to ensure it can remain efficient in the future."

These are not the only people facing redundancy, as last month it was announced that over 50 individuals employed by Selby District Council could lose their jobs, Wetherby News reported.

Individuals who think they may have a claim under employment law can get advice from the team at Kester Cunningham John.ADNFCR-2347-ID-800690028-ADNFCR
