Tate Liverpool employees 'may face redundancy'
Many individuals working at the Tate art gallery in Liverpool are being faced with the threat of redundancy, it has been reported.

According to the BBC, the tourist attraction, located on Albert Dock, is currently under review and the process will last until 2012.

It is reconsidering the number of front-of-house staff required at the establishment as well as looking at ways in which it can be run more efficiently.

Furthermore, it hopes to increase its opening times and improve its special exhibitions.

Any changes will be implemented by spring 2013, although the gallery claimed it wants to offer voluntary redundancy and redeployment for those who lose their positions.

A spokesperson said: "The review will increase Tate Liverpool's organisational flexibility, enabling us to enhance and develop our visitor experience."

Earlier this month, a survey carried out by YouGov for the Good Work Commission found the majority of employees do not think their bosses deal with redundancy in a compassionate manner.
