BPF denies planning law 'pact' with Greg Clark
Proposed changes to planning law do not involve any "pact" between the British Property Federation (BPF) and the minister involved, Greg Clark, the organisation has stated.

The Daily Telegraph had reported Mr Clark had allies at the body and was hoping they would lobby prime minister David Cameron on his proposals to reform the current system.

But BPF chair Liz Peace claimed this is not the case, adding: "Far from being in the pocket of ministers, we are guided in all things by our members, the vast majority of which are involved in commercial property."

She added that it is the job of the organisation to ensure it supports the views of its members and that the government has a balanced assessment to help it reach a final decision.

An editorial in the Daily Telegraph had claimed it was "embarrassing" that it does not appear Mr Clark trusts Mr Cameron to back him on the planning law reform.

The team at Kester Cunningham John are on hand to offer advice regarding planning law.
