Ashton KCJ is delighted to be sponsoring the FWAG (Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group) Kerr Cup Presentation Evening once again this year.
This year’s prestigious awards event will take place on Thursday 17 November in Ipswich, with guest speaker, the Right Honourable Jim Paice MP, Agriculture Minister. The Minister will give an update on the latest CAP* reform proposals to FWAG members and guests and will present the awards.
The Kerr Cup competition has been running for over 30 years and celebrates farms which combine conservation and environmental stewardship with running commercial businesses. This year, the competition is a ‘Champion of Champions’ award, celebrating the best of the last 25 years of Suffolk FWAG Kerr Cup winners.
The winners of last year’s award, Patrick and Brian Barker of EJ Barker and Sons, Lodge Farm, Westhorpe, Suffolk, also won the national Farmers Weekly Countryside Farmer of the Year award, 2010.
Ashton KCJ has played an active role as sponsors of FWAG, which we have supported since 1992. We are delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of the awards as part of our newly merged firm.
