Red Rose Chain promises to captivate audiences once again this summer with one of Shakespeare’s most famous and best loved comedies ‘Twelfth Night’. Ashton KCJ is proud to sponsor Theatre in the Forest for the second year running. Celebrating the twelfth anniversary of the region's largest outdoor theatre event, Twelfth Night will run for 25 nights between 27 July and 28 August.

Witness the far-off land of Illyria as you would never imagine it as Red Rose Chain transforms the stunning Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk into a seaside setting with bunting, buckets and spades, ice-cream and beach huts – a real summer treat!

Featured by The Independent in the Top Ten Events of Summer 2010, Theatre In The Forest enchants Shakespeare fanatics and first-timers alike. Attracting over 10,000 people to ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ last year, box office records are expected to be broken with this year’s production from Red Rose Chain’s innovative and talented Artistic Director, Joanna Carrick.

Donning the yellow stockings as Malvolio, the company is delighted to welcome back Edward Day who is returning from his training in Paris at L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. Day was a huge hit with audiences last year: “Edward Day's comic performances as Demetrius and Bottom are hilarious and the beautiful layer of innocence he creates with Bottom completely wins the hearts of the audience” – Creative Boom Magazine.

They are also thrilled to announce Fleur Keith as Olivia. Keith recently played the title role of Anne Boleyn in Red Rose Chain’s acclaimed production ‘Fallen in Love’: “Keith is outstanding as the ravishing commoner who won Henry VIII’s heart and then lost it mainly due to her inability to bear him a male heir. Keith’s eyes blaze as she delivers lines with a natural flow…her feel for nuance is astonishing” – Ben Sharratt, The Stage.

Two new exciting young actors, Christopher Ashman playing Orsino and Lauren St Paul as Viola, will be joining the cast, along with familiar faces Joanna Carrick as Maria, David Newborn as Sir Toby Belch and Owen Morgan as Feste.
