At Ashton KCJ our commitment to the community doesn’t stop when we leave the office at the end of each day.

We believe it is important to contribute to life beyond work. After all, we are part of the East Anglian scenery too. We live here, we play here and it is where we’ve chosen to raise our families.

We have a strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and we support East Anglian activity in a number of ways:

• by supporting charities
• through sponsorship
• by having respect for the environment
• by engaging in community based projects

It is part of our ethos of not just doing things right, but doing the right things.

Launched in 2008, our Corporate Social Responsibility committee has gone from strength to strength.

Made up of staff who represent all areas of the business, the committee meets on a monthly basis to discuss staff welfare, environmental issues, charitable giving and support and Pro Bono work. They make the decisions about which projects to support – after all, they know the community inside out, and, for us, it is a way of engaging staff.

In all of this, we are guided by four principles, which help us make the right decisions. They are:
